Kid-Inspired Active Learning
My students need 2 balance boards, and 6 wobble cushions to increase physical activity and foster learning.
I have the honor of teaching an amazing group of 2nd graders. My students are active learners, who thrive when given the opportunity to embrace their unique qualities. They seek to grow, and quickly took to the idea of self choice and responsibility through flexible seating.
My students inspire me daily, so I am thrilled to ask for a kid-inspired project on their behalf.
It is because of them that I work at my dream job. I hope that you will consider helping me bless them in this tremendous way. They truly make learning fun and amaze me with each new day.
Just this past year I introduced flexible seating to my students. They loved the flexible options and the ability to engage in active learning. We have a limited recess, so offering flexible options provides my students extra opportunities to engage in physical activity as they are learning.
My students would love more options to add to our flexible seating arrangement.
With your help they will be able to purchase balance boards to use at our standing table, as well as wobble cushions for our floor table. Physical activity is important to my students, so incorporating it into learning will increase the likelihood of them achieving 60 minutes a day of positive physical activity.
