My Project
At Camden's Promise Charter School, the staff and community does everything in its power to provide every opportunity to grow and learn in many ways. After establishing itself as one of the best and brightest charter programs in Camden, NJ, Promise Middle School is looking to take the next step and get our students involved in athletics to develop exception Scholar-Athletes and teach life skills like teamwork, sportsmanship, and hard work.
The students in the school community have spoken and the passion for a soccer program is high, but equipment and funds are low.
At present time, the only soccer balls available to our aspiring middle school players are sized for kindergartners. The 15 AC Milan Adidas Size 5 balls this project would fund gives our scholar-athletes age-appropriate balls representative of our school colors as well! Also funded by this project would be training equipment like cones, agility ladders, and pennies that will help build a sense of teamwork and pride by being able to train on the safe, professional equipment they deserve. Many of the students have not had the opportunity to play organized soccer and thus we are finally requesting basic safety equipment like shin guards and goalie gloves for the players.
Help us kick off this wonderful new program and give these students an opportunity they've been dreaming of!
