Today's children are more obese than ever. Health guidelines state that daily exercise is the best way to cure this problem. I teach third grade at a low-income school. My students have a daily 30 minute structured physical education time. However, it is often difficult to play a variety of games when the only equipment available to us is a basketball, hula hoops, and a few jump ropes. I want children to see that physical activity can be fun as well as beneficial to your health. I also want to encourage them to keep exercising for the rest of their lives. In order to do this, I would like to request materials to help my children start developing healthy exercise habits now. I would like to have a parachute with CD, parachute games, six scooters, a scooter hockey set, and two tunnels to use in obstacles courses. Since these materials will be used over many years, lots of children will benefit from them. Please help me help our children kick obesity to the curb!
