Kickin' into a New School Year: Kick Bands and Supplies

My students need basic supplies to start the new school year as well as kick bands for their chairs to help remain focused!

My Students

Each day my students walk into my doorway, grab a pencil and their daily bellringer. A typical day in our classroom is filled with readings, discussion, small group work, independent work, writing, and staring at Hammurabi (our bearded dragon class pet).

Our school is filled with students who WANT to be at school and a staff who guides them to want to be there.

Our attendance rate is phenomenal! Our school is 94% free/reduced lunch and the majority of out students come from low-income families.

My Project

These materials will help my bulldogs start the year off right. Materials such as filler paper, index cards, markers, pencils, construction paper, folders, etc are used everyday in our classroom and go quickly! Our class bearded dragon Hammurabi needs a new bulb to keep in the classroom in case of emergencies!

Fidgeting is a normal part of middle school behavior, the chair kick bands will help my students keep focused!

By giving students an outlet for their fidgeting, it will help cut down on classroom distractions and minor behavior incidents. Overall, these materials will be put to great use in our classroom and will help us learn!
