Kick Off the Year with a Spark with Sphero Sprk!

My students need the Sphero Sprk and cases (robots). The Sphero will give students hands on experience with coding and engineering. Students will learn block coding and participate in cross curricular challenges.

My Students

The students I teach are creative, bright, and ready to conquer the world! They are eager readers who enjoy exploring new genres and discussing the books that they are reading. Many of my students also have an intense interest in historical events so I try to integrate history whenever possible. They believe in growth mindset and always go the extra mile in all they do. They push me to be the best teacher that I can be every single day.

My Project

The Sphero Sprk (and protective cases) will give students hands on experience with coding. As the teacher I can create multidisciplinary units for the students to work through with their Sphero Sprk. Not only are students extending math standards but they are coding along the way!

The Sphero Sprk will give students opportunities to communicate and collaborate as they use their problem solving strategies to solve math problems and code in inventive ways!Coding introduces critical thinking, problem solving, the scientific method, algorithms, and more!

This robot is designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and invention through connected play and coding, The only limit is the students' imaginations!

This is an opportunity to prepare our students for jobs that are not yet created.
