My anti-tobacco program needs an updated video, a jar of tar, an inflatable cigarette, and a mouth display.

Tobacco is killing our students. I currently teach grades 7-12 in Health and Physical Education. I see so many students begin smoking that it is scary. The community I teach in is a low economic rural area.

I see too many students choose to begin using tobacco. I want to add items into the curriculum that will grab their attention and really make them think about the dangers of tobacco and that it WILL happen to them. I have a very limited budget and would love these supplies to help them to actually "see" what is happening to them so they will make a good decision.

By having an updated video, along with an inflatable cigarette, a jar of tar, and a mouth model to work with, my students will be able to visually see what is happening to their bodies. The students will understand what they have been lectured about for years by touching and seeing the products. This will enhance the probability that the students will make a positive decision that will help them to be healthy and prolong their lives.

You will help make it possible for my students make a decision that has the potential of saving their lives. By using these products, there will be an impression in their heads of the harmful effects of tobacco that will stay with them and potentially effect their decisions to remain tobacco free for life.
