Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

When you enter my room, the students are on the edge of their seats and eager to learn something new. Everyday my students are full of energy and excited about their day.

Our students are wonderful.

They enjoy things most children like to do. I recently moved to a new school and did not have many things to take with me. The school is a Title 1 school where most students receive free or reduced lunches. It is in a lower income area and has very low parent participation.

My Project

A carpet in a classroom helps the students be comfortable and it enhances their learning. Each student will be able to have their own color and square to sit on and call their own. They will have room to move around and pay close attention to what is being taught. When reading books, they will have a place to kick back and relax while they enjoy reading or even just looking at the pictures.

This donation will help my students feel at home and have a comfortable place to sit.

It will allow them to sit and engage in daily activity. It will also add brightness to the room that will bring a smile to each students face.
