My students need equipment to help build a recording studio. This will empower them to learn 21st century music technology skills and produce their own recordings.

My Students

KFHS Choirs serve hundreds of students each day. They are from grades 7-12 and love singing!

Kettering Choirs serves 5 middle school choirs and 4 high school choirs, as well as 4 a cappella groups totaling over 450 singers.

My Project

Our choir department plans to build a mini-recording studio. The most expensive piece of equipment is the computer.

A MacBook Pro that we have chosen is powerful enough to last for years, yet portable enough to move between all 3 school buidings.

Thanks to previous fundraisers, we are in possession of microphones, cabling, and an interface. However, our computer is in need of an upgrade, as ours is a 7-year-old desktop machine.

Once the new computer is purchased, we will have all we need to continue recording our a cappella groups and curricular choirs. Students who are interested in learning recording technology will also have access to the studio for their learning.
