Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are kids full of energy and curiosity for new things and subjects. 90% of my classroom's first language is Spanish, and they learn all the subject areas in Spanish and English. In fifth grade, students learn both languages, and they need to be proficient in both languages by the end of the school year. They love arts and crafts, sports, and science.

My kids come from an immigrant neighborhood, and I share a lot of the same traditions and culture as they do.

Teaching is something that I enjoy and love.

My goal this year to implement art, social studies, and science into everything we learn. As their teacher, I need to work hard to motivate and energize my students and for them to take the learning process in a serious way. Students learn so many things when there is a good use of classroom resources and lessons.

My Project

My classroom desperately needs new classroom keyboards to replace our current desktop keyboards.

Every year my students use the same keyboards, every year our keypads have keys that are missing, get stuck inside the keyboard or stop working due to frequent use.

We use our computers to type essays, for math and reading intervention programs and research projects. We need the help from donors to help us have new technology that we need. Our school doesn't have the budget to replace our keyboards. By having this support, it would help my class advance in different subject areas. We need your help and support!
