As we advance further into the 21st century, technology is becoming more and more integrated into our society. Students prefer technology because they believe that it makes learning more interesting and fun. They especially like laptops and tablets. Education isn’t just about memorizing facts.
Throughout the school day, I have the pleasure of working with 30 special education students.
As the resource teacher, my job is to build skills that my students are lacking. The students that I work with are motivated individuals, eager to learn in new and innovative ways.
There are many benefits of using technology in the classroom, especially as students become increasingly digitally literate. Today’s technology enables students to learn at their own pace. They can also research information to gain knowledge about topics that will impact their daily lives in the present and the future. Technology in the classroom enables the use of more interactive educational tools, which allows for a dynamic learning experience that directly benefits students. Thus, I am requesting a laptop to create a rich learning environment where students have the ability to learn at their own pace. For example, they will be able to use technology and increase their skills by playing educational math and reading games.
This Chromebook will be a complete blessing in our classroom.
It would keep my eager learners active and engaged in activities that will help them stay current in technology. Please help make this project a reality, so my students can take on new responsibilities. The rapid and widespread adoption of these technological innovations has completely changed the way we conduct our daily lives, including how knowledge is digested and taught in our classrooms.
