My Project

We are blessed to have a phenomenal set of four Ludwig Timpani from the late 1950's. They are used daily in rehearsals and 5-7 times a year for performances. The heads on these drums should be replaced every 1-2 years according to the manufacturer, but ours have been on since 2012.

The cost of replacing four timpani heads has nearly doubled since the last time we purchased them - ten years ago!

This makes it a cost prohibitive purchase from our regular budget (which was cut to zero during the pandemic).

In order to keep using these instruments for the foreseeable future, we need to replace the heads - now is the time to do it.
