Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have 16 wonderful eager to learn children in my classroom. All the children in my class are 4-5 years old and are ready to start their educational journey.

In our class we are a family.

We teach to support each other and to help one another. In our class we are beginning to learn our ABC's and 123's, but we are also learning what it means to be helpful, creative, imaginative, and kind.

We are an inclusive classroom that serves children with many different needs.

My Project

Music helps us in many different way. Music can be used as a tool to calm down, express emotions and be used as a creative outlet. Music can be used to reduce stress and anxiety and can be used to help build self confidence.

Having these instruments in our classroom give all the kids an opportunity to use and explore instruments that they might not ever get to see.

We can learn about sounds, rhythm and movement and how they are all connected. Exploring the instruments will be a fun and exciting way to strengthen our fine motor skills as well as our gross motor skills in movement.
