This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

“There's nothing as exciting as a comeback - seeing someone with dreams, watching them fail, and then getting a second chance." - Rachel Griffiths. This statement is very true, especially for my students. Many of the students that I interact with are those who have made mistakes in their lives and are looking for someone to believe in them. I try to ensure that the students that I interact with know that there is someone who is not judging them from their past, but someone who is investing in their future. My students come from a very poor environment. There is no industry, no hospital, and very few community opportunities for extracurricular activities. Very few of the students come from homes of parents with education. When my students come to school, they are looking for more than an education, they are looking for opportunities and encouragement.

My Project

One thing my students need to perform their best during the football season is plenty of practice. Practice cannot stop just because the weather becomes cold. We have to keep focused on the goal-Bringing home the championship. When my players practice or travel to other schools, I want them to feel confident that they are representing their school proudly. These sweat pants will be a great asset to the team.

The team members will wear these pants during practice when needed.

They will also wear them when we go off to play other teams or when we play home games. We will look great and play even greater.
