My school has a high percentage of free and reduced-price lunch recipients.
We also have a large diversity of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. This year, I have a mixed ability group consisting of nine boys and eleven girls. Some have grasped reading skills at a faster rate than others, and some need a little more time. They are eager to learn.
My Project
I am requesting multiple items to help ensure my students are safe and well in the classroom. I am requesting a first aid kit that will stay in the classroom in case of emergencies. This kit will ensure that I can keep my students safe from any harm that comes their way. I am also requesting band aids. I teach first grade and they always need a band aid. The forehead thermometer will help me to instantly check their temperature. This will safe time in case they have a fever and I need to contact their parents. I am also requesting thermometer covers for our current thermometer that is placed in their mouths.
