Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are a group of highly motivated learners who are eager to gain more confidence in utilizing technology to achieve success. My class is a diverse group of learners from various ethnic backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses. I have English language learners, GATE and students with special needs.
Our school is comprised of a beautiful combination of a highly dedicated staff that strives for excellence, hardworking students and highly engaged parents, earning our school a National Blue Ribbon award.
We maintain an excellent relationship with a very supportive population of parents.
My Project
My students need more access to devices in my classroom to enable them to participate in our Twenty-First Century Common Core Curriculum that strives to make them college and career ready. We have been utilizing some older devices that are starting to have difficulties running our programs. After years of use by many eager to learn fifth graders, some just need more technical TLC than I know how to offer. We need a new Chromebook to replace one of our older devices.
I have created many lessons that allow for students to participate using technology.
Now, all I need is more devices to make those lessons accessible for more students at a time. Your donation will help us get these in the hands of our students.
