Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Our school is located in the wonderful state of Florida!
Our school has a large Hispanic and Latino population. My classroom consists of 36 kindergarteners, in a co-teaching setting. Most of my students are ESOL, Spanish speakers who are in the process of learning the English Language. They are struggling but they are eager to learn and be the best they can be!
My Project
It would be phenomenal if our class had a projector and a tablet! The tablet would be used with the projector to enhance students' learning through the use of technology. Our school has adopted a new Reading and Language Arts series that is available online and is very interactive. All of my 36 students, especially the ESOL students, would definitely benefit from this new series if it were projected on a large screen and visible for all. Besides this, I would be able to use the tablet during our differentiated instruction time in which I meet with a small group of students to work on strengthening any weaknesses they have. My students would be able to learn to read, write and master the English language with these desperately needed resources!
If this project is supported, I am positive that my students' learning will be impacted tremendously!
Not only will they learn with my instruction, but through the use of technology which we all know is the future. The earlier my kindergarteners are exposed to such technology, the better they will become at learning in every subject matter. Please help my kindergarten class!
