Our middle school is a microcosm of our city, Louisville, KY, and that makes us unique. Both city and school represent citizens from all socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic groups. Our students have varied life experiences and those experiences are what make us strong. We believe in creating awareness, accepting everyone, and excellence as the expectation.
As soon as students walk through the door, they know they are in a school where they are loved, appreciated, and will receive the best educational experiences possible.
My Project
At Kammerer Middle School, students earn points by practicing their reading skills. Whether it's comprehension, fluency, or even vocabulary, we reward them with points. Points that can be used to purchase items from our storefront case in the library!
Ultimately the goal is to ensure students develop a love of literacy!
