Keeping the Germs Away!

Help me give my students the basic essentials to keep them safe and keep them at school learning. Hand soap, all-purpose cleaner, and disinfectant spray are much needed to stay healthy!

My Students

I am a fourth grade teacher at a Title I school in Virginia. We are a Pre-K through the 8th grade building. Nearly 900 students call our school their home. This year, instead of switching classes, I have the pleasure of having one class of 24 students all day. This is a true pleasure as I really get to know the students better the more time I spend with them. Within the 24, students are receiving special education services, and there are English language learners, French students, and gifted learners.

For many of our students, school is more than just a place to learn.

It is also a source of consistency and love. Some of our students have been through more in their young lives than most adults.

Norfolk is home to the largest naval base in the world. Many of our families are part of the military which means that many of our students have to deal with one or even both of their parents being on deployment for long periods of time.

I hope to provide the students with a safe and fun place to learn!

My Project

Germs rely on hand-to-face transmission, so hand-washing is critical. We need disinfecting spray, and antibacterial soap to help battle the spread of germs in our classroom. We will be able to wipe down and get rid of germs as we take a quick second to clean up from doing activities.

These supplies will help keep us cleaner and focus on learning!

Thank you for helping to support our class to help students stay in school and illness-free. We are a school dedicated to teaching in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic!
