This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My amazing fourth/fifth grade students come from various backgrounds and live in a lower socioeconomic area. Many do not have access to school supplies, free reading books, and technology. The students include English Language Learners, Reclassified ELs, and English Language Only students, some of whom receive resource services. A majority of the students in my class receive free and reduced-price breakfast and lunch.

For the 2021-2022 school year, I have returned to campus, teaching in person, with a wish to give energetic students tools to accompany their styles of learning.

My current students on campus continue to fit the description above.

My Project

These materials will be used to keep students safe and our classroom clean. As we are reiterating mask wearing, due to the most recent strain of Covid-19 upon return from our winter break, masks will be readily available for those that may forget theirs, or need replacements from breakage. Hand sanitizing upon entrance and exit of the classroom is a must to keep the germs away. To help those germs stay away, the student friendly wipes will help student usage for their own areas, and finally the disinfectant spray can be used when students are not present to chase sneaky germs away at the end of each day!

With the most current strain, the Omnicron virus, being so unpredictable, it's important to do all we can to keep the students feeling safe while learning, in the classroom.

With your kind donation, we will be able to do just that! Schools need to do all we can to keep our kids in attendance, and at the same time feeling confident that they are safe and secure. Your assistance with this project will be a step in the proper direction!
