Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

All of my students live in a large city in Michigan and receive free lunch. Many of my students come to me speaking little or no English. Here, at our wonderful school, there is something for everyone. Even the parents like to engage in our learning opportunities.

My students don't like sitting around; they like to be engaged and to explore new things.

As their teacher, I would like to make available a wide variety of learning materials so they can engage and learn in a variety of ways. I also want to make sure they are well fed so they can concentrate on learning and not hunger pains.

My Project

During the winter months germs can get us down. This project focuses on keeping germs away. The science kits will allow students to learn more about how the human body functions and the importance of keeping healthy. The instant science learning kits will facilitate learning in a hands-on way!

Kleenex and hand sanitizer is a classroom’s best friend, especially during the winter months.

Keeping my students healthy and in school will allow them to continue their progress and help prepare them for Kindergarten. The wipes and Clorox spray will ensure our learning environment is clean and fresh. The classroom will be sprayed down at the end of each day in order to ensure a clean and safe environment.
