My Students

Our students come from many different back grounds. We live in a small mountain community. Some of our students live in group homes, small campers, to houses. They are typically hands-on learners who require a multi-sensory approach to learning.

Our students have severe and multiple disabilities in an economically disadvantaged area.

Having students in school as well as remotely has been such a learning curve. We share the same attitude as our students "WE CAN DO THIS".

My Project

Our students sell coffee and other goodies on our Caring Cart. The Caring Cart is our time to teach life skills such as money, counting, talking with peers and other social skills. We need an urn and airpot to hold hot water. We sell a lot of cups of soups, especially on chilly winter days. It's difficult when we run out of hot water during passing period. Our goal is not to stress anyone out and get the students to class as the bell rings. We really love the success our Caring Cart has brought to our school.
