Do you remember the days of a manual pencil sharpener that constantly ate your pencils? My students need an electric pencil sharpener to save time and not mix classwork due to always having to sharpen pencils.
My students are enthusiastic and are eager to learn new things everyday.
They always come to class with a smile on their faces and prepared with their materials. My students collaborate to be critical thinkers and problem solvers daily in our classroom. Our school has a diverse population of students all from different backgrounds. We are located in a suburban area in North Carolina. Our school has great parent involvement who are willing to help their children succeed in any way they can, but many struggle to provide supplies for their children.
My Project
My students need two electric pencil sharpeners to help save class time and supplies for our classroom. Our current manual pencil sharpener constantly eats pencils and sometimes takes students 10 minutes to have a pencil that is sharp enough for them to write with. An electric pencil sharpener would save time and supplies for our classroom, because students would not need to waste time sharpening pencils. The sharpeners would help our classroom also save supplies so all students could have pencils that are ready to use daily in our classroom.
This project would help make a difference in our classroom because too many students are missing valuable class time to sharpen pencils.
The time they take to sharpen pencils could be used to maximize their learning in the classroom.
