Our middle school is made up of about one thousand students. Our student body is composed of a mix of races and socioeconomic backgrounds. We are only miles away from an Air Force base, so we have a large military population. Our school, teachers, and students work hard each day. The school has received many awards.
I teach about one hundred eighth-graders.
My classes include kids in Special Education and those with learning disabilities. Each day, my students work so hard and always keep positive attitudes as they strive to grow!
My Project
The scoreboard in our gym has not been working correctly for years and I would love for us to have a functioning scoreboard. Our basketball team is an important sport and is vital to the success and well being of our students.
A new scoreboard would help to keep our sporting events organized, while giving our basketball players a sense of pride in the their team and in their school.
Being able to have a new scoreboard in our gym would bring excitement to our upcoming basketball games for the athletes and the fans alike. I am also requesting agility poles for our basketball practices.
Sports are extremely important for our student population. In many cases, sports, are the sole motivation for our students to be successful inside and outside of the classroom. A new scoreboard for the basketball team would go a long way in helping our students to feel empowered while playing their games.
