Our school is an intervention school which serves the neediest families in our community, including those who are displaced or homeless. We have students from a wide variety of backgrounds including children who are learning English as a Second Language, students who use nonverbal communication, and students who receive special education services.
Our school operates with an "all for one, one for all" philosophy, and we serve students and their families.
Everyone pitches in where necessary. We view all students as "ours", not just those in our individual classrooms.
My Project
School ended for my 4 and 5 year olds on Friday, March 13th. The long-term impact of missing the last quarter of the school year could mean significant gaps, with students struggling in future grades. Spring is a time of incredible growth for our students. It is crucuial that they maintain momentum in their learning!
Formal school might be over for the year, but that doesn't mean the learning has to stop!
These materials will enable our students to work at home while having fun. Specific suggestions and instructions for use will guide parents in facilitating activities with their children.
