My Students
My students are always buzzing with energy. They love to move, chat, participate in hands-on projects, and grow their brains. When they walk into the room, it immediately comes alive with their fun personalities. You would never guess the amount of challenges many of them face each day.
As a teacher at a school which services many low to moderate socioeconomic families, it is common for students to come hungry, tired, worried, and without all the supplies they need.
None the less, this never seems to affect their desire to learn and their excitement for school.
I strive to give my students an environment which they are free to explore their wonders, show their creativity, and above all, feel safe.
I hope they see school as a place where they can challenge themselves, discover their passion and feel loved.
My Project
I am a Special Education Teacher for grades 4 and 5, so I have students coming in and out of my classroom all day long. When my students come for reading, writing and math, they need an organized area to keep the materials they need for learning. Their time with me goes quickly, so students need to be able to get their materials out quickly so their learning time is not consumed with finding the materials they need.
My room is quite small, so the corner 3-ring binder storage shelf and binders will be in an area that is easily accessible for my students, without taking up too much space!
Students thrive on being organized and having ownership of their material!
