Help me give my students flexible seating to recharge their focus and thinking during class time. I also want to give my students multiple options of books to provide opportunities for reading across the curriculum.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Over 80% of students at my school are considered at risk, with 90% qualifying for free/reduced lunch. For a large majority of them, English is their second language. On top of that, my students are also special needs. Reading and writing is a challenge, but they never let their disability define them. They are able to complete any task they set their minds on just in different ways using specific methods suitable for their disability. Unfortunately, a high percentage of them do not have parental involvement within their academics to help them grow in their learning, creating an even bigger burden for them. However, my students are some of the strongest kids I know, and they are internally motivated to do their best and be successful.
My Project
There is a lot of research in the education world that states if a child is not reading on grade level by the end of 3rd grade, it is highly unlikely that they will ever be able to catch up. I want to change that for my students. I want to bring more books and resources into the classroom to grow their reading skills.
Bringing more books into the classroom opens more opportunities for reading during the day.
Having flexible seating will allow students to stay engaged and recharged in their learning. Adding math mentor texts in my classroom library allows me to integrate reading across other content areas as well.
Much of our community lost everything during Hurricane Harvey. A year later, we are rebuilding an even stronger community. Basic necessities are the priority, putting books at the bottom of the list, which I would like to be able to provide in my classroom.
