Keeping Our Classroom Clean

My students need a broom, dustpans, a hand vacuum with filters, cleaning cloths and motivating prizes to help keep our classroom clean.

My Students

My second grade students attend a public school in New Hampshire. They come to school each day ready for new challenges!

These seven and eight year old students are excited about learning and eager to do their best!

My class includes children of all abilities and backgrounds. Over the past few years, students and their families are coming from more and more countries including India, China, Russia, Pakistan and Bangladesh. My students are kind, caring, energetic and creative. My class enjoys learning in an active and hands-on way.

My Project

During the day, our second grade classroom may get a little messy with snack crumbs, paper scraps and dirt dragged in from outdoor recess. We have fantastic custodians who clean the rooms each night. However, we need to be tidier during school hours.

My second graders will benefit from being responsible for keeping our classroom clean.

They will be able to use the requested cleaning tools, like the broom, dustpans, and hand vacuum to develop pride, independence, and responsibility. Also having some new prizes for the prize box will provide additional motivation and reward for a job well done!
