Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I love that every morning as students arrive, they begin telling me how much they love being in class. Every Monday, at least five of my students will tell me how much they missed being in school. Although, they come from different economic backgrounds, they all have a love for learning.
I am amazed on a daily basis with what these young students can do with today's technology.
My students come from low-income families that cannot afford to buy their own headphones.

My Project
My Kindergarten classroom has a Chromebook for each child. We take advantage of the Chromebooks each day. However, during independent work, the kids find it hard to concentrate on what they are doing because of their neighbors' noise.
We are requesting a pair of over-the-ear headphones for each child.
This will help each child take full advantage and help them engage in using the Chromebooks.
Many of my students simply cannot afford the expense of over-the-ear headphones. This would help take the financial burden off them and will provide them with a tool that would positively enhance their learning.
