I am living out my dream by being a 1st grade teacher! While I do everything I can to help my students be successful, sometimes, there are materials that can best support kids too!
It would be beneficial to have a whiteboard intervention table in my classroom.
This table would be used by multiple students at a time to help them master a certain concept. Right now, I use my intervention table to help students get caught up, to help students who are struggling to master a concept, and for every day practice. I have kiddos in need of interventions in math, reading, writing, and spelling.
By having a whiteboard table it will save transition time because students will be able to use markers and the table that is right in front of them! They will not need to gather supplies and get up to get a whiteboard marker or whiteboard if they need one. Not only will it save time, but I believe students will feel excited to come to the back table and work with me instead of feeling like they are behind and need extra help.
My Project
As a teacher, my job is to keep my kids on track, confident, and successful. By doing this, I will often have many kids who may need additional interventions. These interventions help students make achievements in math, reading, writing, science, social studies, and spelling. Many times for these interventions, kids will meet me at the back table with a whiteboard, marker, and eraser. These transitions can take time and waste valuable intervention time. By having this whiteboard table, markers and erasers will already be there and all students will need to do is come meet me at the back table. This will help us make the most of our intervention time and be an exciting way for students to practice concepts without feeling like they need extra help!
