My Students

This will be my second year teaching this sweet group, as I am looping with them from 2nd to 3rd grade. My third graders come from a variety of backgrounds and walks of life.

Although they each have a different story, they all come to school eager to learn and excited for new experiences.

Seeing their faces light up when new learning occurs and goals are met is what keeps me going! I am truly lucky to be their teacher!

My Project

My students need a class subscription for Scholastic News Magazine. This magazine connects current events to the third grade curriculum in a kid-friendly and appropriate format. This subscription will enhance my students' learning experience by giving them an engaging resource to get students excited about reading non-fiction texts.

By making learning relevant and utilizing an engaging resource, my goal is that my students' comprehension skills will improve.

Each issue of Scholastic news comes with teaching tools that support our ELA, science, and social studies curriculum. I know my students will love receiving their issues in the mail! Thank you for considering my project for my awesome students!
