My class is a diverse group of kiddos who come from a small rural town in South Mississippi. We consist of 12 girls and 10 boys. We include general education students and gifted students.
My class has a great love of learning and a great need to be kept engaged and busy.
We love to play games and interact with learning as often as possible. We love to explore with new technologies and enjoy finding ways to make learning fun.
In my classroom, keeping early finishers busy and on task has always been a struggle. I have also struggled to find a way to help students who seem to easily get distracted from their work, staying on task. I feel that VersaTiles is the solution to these problems.
The VersaTiles system is a great way for early finishers to stay busy at their desk and gives those students who drag behind, a drive to get their work complete.
VersaTiles is a self checking method to complete skill based tasks, but students see it a "game." Students can independently work on a skill that we have covered in the classroom, without seeing it as "work."
