Ms. Dinh from Boston MA is requesting classroom basics through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need various items to help them succeed. Items such as headphones and pencils are for everyday use. Other necessities such as hand sanitizer and noise cancellers keep us clean and focused.

I teach 3rd grade full-inclusion in a K-3 pilot school in Dorchester, Massachusetts. Almost the entire student population is students of color, and 67% of our students are considered economically disadvantaged, which is 14% higher than our district total.
In my classroom I have 19 wonderful future leaders and scholars.
I want them to grow up knowing that money should not factor into a quality education. They come from all over the world, including countries such as Vietnam, Cape Verde, Nigeria, and the Dominican Republic. Our classroom seeks a variety of materials in order to help students grow as confident, strong, and independent learners.
Students benefit from having a classroom that is well-organized, well-stocked, and calming. Some students, however, need a few extra resources in order to focus their thoughts and be their best selves.
Items such as the noise cancelling headphones and the large classroom timer will help my students channel their energies intentionally and productively.
Chair socks and personal headphones will help maintain the peace and calm of the room so that students can concentrate and save their voices for academic discussions and play.
Lastly, materials such as tissues, erasers, pocket sleeves, and pencils will ensure their basic classroom needs are met, because every child deserves to learn.
