My students need sheet protectors, storage units, a broom, a classroom mailbox organizer, and chair sox!

My first grade students attend an inner city public school that consists of low-income families. Sadly, many of the students lack the resources and support to have technology experience at home. Despite their home environment, they are very inquisitive and have a strong desire to learn. School is the only place that offers opportunities for students to explore, interact, experience, and learn.
Unfortunately, with budget cuts, our school district is having difficulty providing the necessary provisions to help our students prepare and compete in the 21st century.
My students will become very independent and responsible learners this year. I love to see the growth from September to June because it's an amazing transformation. Living in the inner city of Paterson, my students have limited technology and resources in and out of the classroom. My class was lucky enough to receive several donations through DonorsChoose.org which has helped them tremendously with their growth.

Although our school building is fairly-aged, the classroom shouldn't smell and feel like its age. With the funding of this project, I would be able to keep the classroom neat and help with organizing student supplies and student anchor charts in a place. We need sheet protectors, storage units, a broom, a classroom mailbox organizer, and chair sox. These materials will allow us to do more projects and make clean up easy. The chair sox will prevent the chairs from scratching the floor and reduce nasty markings on the floor.
