My students are greeted at the door every single morning. They are asked how their day is and they immediately run to greet their classmates. They are reminded throughout the day that they are role models, as they are constantly setting the example for others.
My classroom is full of 26 energetic students who see the bright side in everything they do.
They come from a low-income neighborhood and many from Spanish-speaking families. Although they come from a low-income neighborhood, they have a tremendous amount of potential to be leaders one day!
Having a kidney table will be beneficial for my students. It will allow us to engage in small group instruction for reading, writing, math and science. Benefits of small group instruction include individualized learning, building confidence in students, opportunity for feedback, and encourage collaboration within the group.
When working in small groups on STEM projects, having a small table that students can gather around is very beneficial as it allows them to work as a team to meet a mutual goal.
This new kidney table would provide us with endless opportunities as we grow as readers, writers, mathematicians and scientists!
