My Students

My students are sixth and seventh graders in a small middle school.

Our 325 students range from the mentally impaired and learning disabled to the gifted with every ability level in between.

They all are excited about learning, however.

We get no money for supplies, consumables, or new equipment. Everything we get has to come from grants or fundraisers. With every department, music group and athletic team raising funds, it becomes very difficult for the community to support all of our needs.

My Project

My students are naturally neat and organized. We have a place for everything and try to keep things tidy while we do our experiments and lab activities. We only have one sink, however, so sometimes clean up after messy labs takes more time than it should. With the help of paper towels and disinfecting wipes, the clean up goes quicker and we have more time to do the fun stuff. We are often working with things like sticky chemicals, soil and dirt, clay, pond water and everything in between. It makes it so much easier to grab a wipe rather than wait on a cloth at the sink!
