Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come to school each day ready to learn. They come from various backgrounds. One hundred percent of the students eat free breakfast and lunch each day. The economic status of the area would qualify it for the highest poverty area. More than 60% of my students are immigrants from Central America and Africa.
Each student believes they can achieve and works hard toward their own success.
This attitude makes it possible to meet our goals. While most students are below grade level, they work hard to master challenges. This project will help us meet our goals.
My Project
My students come to school each day and are very creative. They love to write creative stories, plays, speeches, and poetry. They need binders to keep their writing organized. The pocket folders will keep all of their published work together, so it can be displayed for their parents. They need spiral notebooks to keep their ideas together and begin the writing process. These materials will give each student the supplies needed for school.
Writing comes from the heart, but without the proper writing supplies it never gets on paper.
With your help, we can make this project possible. I want to give my students every opportunity possible to be the best they can be. This project will make this dream come true. I hope you can help us fulfill this dream.
