Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are truly amazing, resilient, and great young people so deserving of everything good. As the months get colder, items such as gloves, neck gaiters, and hats are needed to keep them warm. I have noticed students arriving at school without the proper clothing items to keep them warm, which is really concerning. I have a bin on top of my closet where I keep extra items, but I have already given out all that I had stored. Some students are already asking to stay in for lunch on colder days because they are arriving unprepared for the cold and damp weather.

My students need these clothing items to keep them warm and snacks are in need too!

They can't get enough of healthy snacks to keep them energized. Teenagers just can't get enough of these snacks! I love to have them on hand to take away their hunger pains throughout the day because students have a hard time focusing when they are hungry and cold.

My students are also fully aware that great people and organizations are really pulling for them.
