This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am a third year teacher that is in need of materials for my eager, fourth graders! There are around twenty-five students in each of my classes, from all different backgrounds. I teach at a low poverty school, but that does not mean that my students won't receive the best quality education.
I am in need of everyday classroom supplies, such as pencils, glue sticks, crayons, colored pencils, and etc.
I want to ensure that my students are able to complete assignments, while having the right materials to do so. This will benefit my students because they will have the tools that they'll need to be successful in my class. I have found that a lot of my students don't have pencils, glue sticks, crayons, and etc. If we are presented with these supplies, it would be greatly appreciated by both my students and myself!
My Project
If we are provided with these supplies, this will ensure that my seventy-five students will have the right tools to succeed throughout this school year. I have so many deserving students in my class and it would be amazing, if they were all equipped with what they needed to have a great year in fourth grade! All of my students work hard each and everyday. It is just so unfortunate, that they do not come from families that can afford supplies.
All of my students deserve a high quality education, and with these supplies, this is exactly what will help them to achieve that.
Each day my students are busy in all subjects, so we go through pencils really fast. I also like to incorporate the arts into my instruction, so we use crayons, colored pencils, colored paper and etc to enhance the learning.
