Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach at a Title I school in a low-income area where eighty percent of the students receive free or reduced-price lunches. Many of my students are second language learners. Most of them do not have any school experience before entering kindergarten, but they don't let that hold them back. They crave social interaction and an opportunity to express themselves.
My students are kind and hardworking children who enjoy playing and discovering with friends.
They are always motivated and have a very positive attitude toward learning.
My Project
Please help my students get organized! My kindergarten students need fabric canvas bags, plastic tubs and shelves to keep their school things organized and make them easy to manage. My students need fabric bags to carry their books home from school weekly. They need plastic tubs to store their little cubes and Legos that they use for STEM activities. They also need small shelves to keep their papers in one place. Keeping things organized in kindergarten can be a challenge but having these supplies will fix that problem.
