Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our Track team is made up of an amazing group of dedicated hard working athletes who love the sport of track and field and desire to be the best they can be. Our team is blessed to have gotten a beautiful new facility but are desperately in need of some new equipment.
This new equipment will provide them the opportunity to hone their skills at practice, and be better ready for their track meets and field competitions.
Most of our athletes have never run before, or been on a team, so these items will be influential in helping them to train and become the best they can be.
My Project
By gaining access to this new training equipment, our team of talented and hard-working young athletes will have the opportunity to hone their skills and be better equipped to thrive in our competitions.
Track and field requires dedication and hard work, and these athletes are a testament of both, but the lack of proper training equipment is holding them back from reaching their true potential.
The Medicine balls will help them train their core muscles, the resistance bands will help them strengthen the minor muscle groups that often get overlooked and can lead to injury, and the rollers will help their muscles to recover more effectively. We are also requesting Javelins.
Given the opportunity to train with this equipment will allow them to see their progress and set bigger goals as individuals and as a team, and boost their confidence in practice and in competitions!
