My students need 1 training rope, 2 Flip2BFit board games, 2 Ready, Set, Move activity set, and 1 exercise ball for physical fitness. They go outside to move around, but games and equipment will make it fun and exciting. They will look forward to exercise.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Every morning, I write our daily agenda on the board. When my students come in, first thing they look for is to see if we are going to go outside for physical activity at the end of the day. We start the day with a healthy breakfast in the classroom, and we try to finish the day with a good workout.
Out school is a Title I school, which means most of the children come from low income families.
I have 35 students in my sixth grade class, 14 of those students are English Learners; they range from Level 1-5. There are 4 students who are identified as special needs; they have various learning disabilities. All students will benefit and need to have Physical Education/Activity. My school provides 50 minutes/week of Psychomotor time for my students, but they need a minimum of 100 minutes of P.E. As a teacher, I try my best to give the opportunity to be physically active in school.
My Project
I am requesting 1 training rope, 2 Flip2BFit board games, 2 Ready, Set, Move activity set, and 1 exercise ball for physical fitness. With the P.E. equipment that I am requesting, my students will be able to have a more structured P.E. time. They can play the various games that are fun and it requires them to be active. The students do enjoy being outdoors and playing games that require them to be active.
In our health program, I teach my students the importance of being healthy.
To be healthy they need to have a balance in physical, mental/emotional and social health. Many students don't have the opportunity to be physically active at home since they live in apartments that do not have the required space; there are very few parks nearby where they can go and play. I try to give them the time and equipment to be physically active at school.
