Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our school is home to a very diverse group of students. My students are high-risk and come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Many of my students face challenges before they even arrive at school each day. Many of these challenges include situations many adults have never had to face in their lifetime.

Many of my students may go to bed hungry and may not even have a bed to sleep in each night.

I want my students to be able to learn in a safe and comfortable environment. Our classroom is a mobile unit, but I try and make it feel as warm and welcoming as possible.

My Project

In a classroom there are lots of germs floating around. I want my students to stay healthy and I need several items that will do just that. With the disinfecting wipes, I can wipe down student desks and chairs to get rid of germs. The spray will be used to sanitize the air on a daily basis and the tissues will be used for runny noses.

Students need to be at school each day in order to learn and grow.

My keeping germs at bay in my classroom, students are less likely to get sick and miss school. This is very important to me as an educator. I hope you will consider donating to my project.
