This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our classroom is filled with eager and excited 4 and 5 year olds learning in a literacy-rich program about the big world around them. The classroom includes special needs, ESL, and general education students in a literacy-rich program. Due to the number of low-income students, the entire school receives free breakfast and lunch.
Our students flourish when given hands-on activities and opportunities to explore their environment.
We try to provide them these opportunities as often as possible but we need supplies to keep things clean and safe for our little learners and sometimes furnishing these materials can be challenging. Any assistance in this goal is greatly appreciated!
My Project
Our classroom is filled with excited and energetic 4-5 year old students that are eager to learn about the world around them. All that learning involves numerous hands touching items on a daily basis and trying to keep things clean is a big challenge. This project is to help us have replacement face masks for our students and cleaning supplies to keep things as santiary as possible. Our school is made up of many low-income families and providing daily clean face masks is difficult for many of them. The paper towels bought by the school system do not wipe up the messes created by 20 students eating meals in the classroom. Wiping down tables, chairs and frequently used surfaces and items to stop the spread of colds, Covid and other germs. We are asking for paper towels and clorox wipes to help with keeping things as hygienic as possible.
