Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from a rural, low-income community with limited opportunities. My students have numerous skills that will help them succeed, but they require opportunities to develop and strengthen their natural talents.
The students in my classroom are bright, active, and motivated.
They actively work to succeed in and out of the classroom. They get excited by learning new things and having new experiences. They all have the ability to be successful and excel at anything they put their minds to. My students constantly strive to grow and learn. Each day, my students make an effort to improve themselves and their community.
My Project
The students in my Student Government class need supplies to improve the planning and implementation of activities they plan to improve school morale. Students need LED lights to improve the lighting and decoration during school dances. Colored paper, cardstock, and photo paper allow them to make tickets, advertise, and run photo booths at the events they plan. A new tablet will improve their ability to create playlists and DJ at school dances.
My students need the opportunity to experience traditional middle school activities.
Students love spending time in a positive atmosphere with their peers and teachers. These experiences directly improve trust, excitement in learning, and the general school atmosphere.
