Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a classroom of 23 amazing and spectacular students, seven of whom are ELL students.
My students are book-loving, avid readers and enthusiastic learners who need resources to continue growth.
My students are fun-loving and active first graders who are setting goals and working hard to achieve their goals. Each day they come to school ready to learn with smiling faces. Our classroom is focused on increasing our reading, writing, and math stamina.

My Project
These materials will help ensure my students are able to continue their growth in reading, writing, and math skills. This is essential in first grade. Each student is expected to grow six reading levels in 10 months, which is a total of 144 levels.
Students are growing at a rapid pace and I would like to continue this pace to ensure their success.
By having the crayons, the students will be able to rainbow write by learning their sight words and becoming stronger readers. Students will also be able to become better at math as they are writing and drawing on their personal dry erase boards number sentences and drawings of story problems.
