My Students

Our high school band students are wonderful, hard-working kids. They love making music and the feeling of accomplishment that comes with it. It's been difficult not being able to make music during this time of COVID, that's why this project is so important!

My Project

We are not able to play our wind instruments or sing indoors due to local restrictions from the health department. In Michigan our time indoors can be very long from November-March.

We want to keep the students making music during our class time, and ukuleles can help us do that!

One of the main reasons students are in band is to make music but our current budget doesn't allow for us to outfit the band with ukuleles.

We plan on half the band doing ukuleles while the other half does bucket drumming, we will switch groups so all of our band students get an opportunity to play bucket drums and ukuleles.

Please help us by supporting this project and keep the band making music during the cold Michigan winter!
