My Students

Why are my students amazing? My students are amazing because many of them come from backgrounds that are challenging, but they never let it hold them down.

My students work hard at school, and that's why I work hard for them.

I make sure that state and city budgets don't limit my students' learning. I make sure that they get what they need to learn and to thrive in lessons big and small—and you are a big part of that!

My Project

The materials requested in this project will help to bring our amazing school gardening program indoors for winter growing; and winter learning. With the help of EarthBoxes - specially designed container gardens - my students can grow everything from daisies to tomatoes inside the classroom.

My students love to grow and eat their own produce; with your help, we can keep that going all winter long!

We have a great outdoor garden classroom, but we really lose steam in the winter when we are forced indoors. The grow lights and container gardens that this project will bring to my classroom can change all of that. They will allow for lessons ranging from the needs of living things, to cooking demonstrations, and even nutrition lessons all through the lens of a student-led garden.
