Help me give my students a BRIGHT academic year with colorful paper & art supplies! Color paper helps us focus on our interactive notebook notes, and the laminating pouches help preserve task cards for future use.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My sixth-grade students are some of the most interesting and loving people I know. It's a growth year for sure as they transition from upper elementary to middle school. Separately, they're pretty unsure of themselves, but collaboratively, they are inclusive and helpful and spark the most vibrant class discussions.
As a special educator, I encourage my students to take risks and find creative solutions to their everyday problems.
I love observing their sense of wonder, their curiosity of the unknown, and that magical look in their eyes during aha moments!
My Project
Nothing says middle school like a year of lecture notes and a wealth of information. I try to keep kids interested with interactive notebooks, lecture notes broken down into flaps and foldable paper activities. These activities always look better (read: more appealing) to sixth graders with a pop of color! The notebooks help us record key details from lecture in one central location while also serving as a study guide, thanks to the interactive flaps and folds. Task cards keep us engaged all class period. Kids enjoy "scooting" around the room, finding brightly colored questions hiding about the room. Once laminated, the cards serve as a center activity for continued review and practice. Your generosity ensures we have a BRIGHT spring ahead!
