Help us protect our resources to protect our health! Technology is wonderful for learning about making healthy choices in life, but if it is not protected from breakage and germs, it's much less useful for my students. Help me protect our iPads from destruction and germs!
I teach in a school where the children come from a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and socioeconomic situations.
The majority of my students receive free or reduced lunch, which means their families are struggling financially. Each year I typically have a few students with learning disabilities and speech needs. This year over half of my students speak English as a second language. What do they all have in common, despite these struggles? They LOVE learning and work hard to succeed! They deserve the very best resources possible to help them continue to work toward their learning goals!
My Project
The materials I am requesting will help protect the iPads we currently have. These iPads are used for a variety of uses, most importantly for researching information about healthy living and nutrition. The iPads also have apps installed for further learning about health. Since we no longer have health education by our P.E. department, allowing my students access to these resources is key to promoting making healthy choices. Recently, we had one iPad drop and the screen shattered. As a result, that iPad is not usable. These cases will protect the rest so that we will have them to use for health education for years to come. The electronics wipes will help us ensure that students are not passing germs and sicknesses from one to another via the electronic devices in our classroom.
