My Students

Who didn't love doing lab experiments in science? I know I always did (it is probably why I became a science teacher). One of the key components in science is learning how to keep safe when doing these experiments.

My seventh and eighth grade students are a great bunch!

We are a part of sixth grade through twelfth grade building in New York state. Even though we may be some of the younger students in the building, that does not stop us from doing real science and that real science requires real laboratory equipment!

My Project

One of those pieces of lab equipment that we need is an eyewash. While we do have a simple portable eyewash, we really need to have a permanent eyewash that attaches to the sink. This will ensure that, should we ever need to use it, we have a constant sources of clean and fresh water. The portable eyewash sits on a shelf all year and the liquid inside is not as fresh as the water that comes from the sink.

While no one plans to have an accident in the lab, we must always be prepared for anything to happen.

Having a permanent eyewash connected to our sink will help us be prepared. We are doing our best to help protect ourselves and now we need your help to take this safety and protection to the next level.
